An Audiologist at Vejthani Hospital is a specialized healthcare professional dedicated to the assessment, diagnosis, and management of hearing and balance disorders. Working within a multidisciplinary team, audiologists play a vital role in enhancing patients’ quality of life through personalized auditory care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hearing Assessments Conduct comprehensive audiometric evaluations for patients of all ages, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing.
• Diagnosis and Treatment Planning Identify hearing loss types and degrees, and collaborate with ENT specialists to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Hearing Aid Fitting and Management Recommend, fit, and calibrate hearing aids and assistive listening devices. Provide counseling and follow-up care to ensure optimal device usage.
• Balance and Vestibular Testing Perform diagnostic tests for patients experiencing dizziness or balance disorders, including videonystagmography (VNG) and vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP).
• Newborn Hearing Screening Participate in early detection programs for congenital hearing loss using automated auditory brainstem response (AABR) and OAE screening.
• Patient Education and Counseling Educate patients and families on hearing health, communication strategies, and preventive care.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration Work closely with ENT physicians, speech-language pathologists, pediatricians, and neurologists to provide integrated care.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audiology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Professional certification or licensure in audiology (as per Thai regulations)
• Experience in clinical audiology, preferably in a hospital setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using audiological equipment and software
