An Occupational Therapist (OT) at Vejthani Hospital is a healthcare professional dedicated to helping patients of all ages regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities following illness, injury, or disability. OTs work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized rehabilitation programs that enhance physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Evaluation Assess patients’ physical, mental, and emotional capabilities through clinical observation and standardized tools to determine rehabilitation needs.
• Treatment Planning Develop individualized therapy plans focused on improving functional skills, mobility, coordination, and self-care abilities.
• Therapeutic Interventions Guide patients through exercises and activities that promote recovery and independence in tasks such as dressing, eating, working, and social interaction.
• Environmental Adaptation Evaluate patients’ home or workplace environments and recommend modifications or assistive devices to enhance safety and accessibility.
• Education and Support Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, techniques, and long-term strategies for maintaining progress.
• Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and interdisciplinary communications for clinical and administrative purposes.
• Collaboration Work alongside physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, and nurses to ensure holistic care and coordinated rehabilitation efforts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid Thai professional license or certification in occupational therapy
• Experience in hospital or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
